short course is a learning programme that gives you combined content or specific skills training in a short period of time. Short courses often lean towards the more practical side of things and have less theory than a university course – this gives you a more hands-on experience within your field of interest.

Course Description:  Regardless of one’s occupation in life at some point you will be asked to deliver an oral presentation. Effective oral presentation comprises your ability to communicate in a way that consistently takes into account your verbal, nonverbal and written skills. Indeed, gaining mastery in public speaking will greatly enhance your ability to be understood. In light of this fact an effective oral presentation focuses on great content, organization of content, delivery of content, and the role of the audience. 

These are the areas that you will be assessed on during this course. Additionally, you will be better able to as n addition, the information you will learn will assist you in becoming a more critical consumer of information.


Course Format: The course involves guided lectures, performance and discussion groups, independent research, Socratic style teaching/discussion, and individual readings. There will be one class 2hrs per week.
